Mise en Scene

Body language- This shot features two men who seem to be in a combate position, this shows the audience that they are waiting to fight and to face potential danger. Both men have stern facial features and both look as though they are looking into the face of their attackers. There is a sence of danger and a need for them to protect themselves. This shows the audience that they are in a potentially dangerous and difficult situation. The younger man is stood behind the older man making it seem as though the older man is protecting the youger man. The young man is made to look small in comparison to the older man which makes him look vunrable and making it seem like he needs to be protecting. It is unconventional in an action movie for the damsel in distress to be played by a male.

Props- Both of the characters featured in this shot have big guns, this suggests that they are preparing themselves for attack/ action. Also although both of the guns look the same, one of the men has theres raised as if he is worried about something where as the other man looks more laid back. This makes it seem to the audience that the older man is more expreienced when it comes to fighting.

Costume and makeup- In this shot the older man (man 1) seems to be wearing normal everyday clothes, this is unusual in an action film as the audience expect to see the characters in armer or in a bullet proof vest. This shows that audience that no matter what the situation he is always ready for action. As well as this usually if a character in a dangerous situation wearing everyday clotheds they are seem to be vunrable, in this shot however man 1 looks as though he is protecting the other man.  The other man (man 2) seems to be in a bullet proof vest, this is unusual as in the shot he is the one who needs to be protected. 

Man 2 seems to have a lot of injurys on his face, this suggests that he is weaker than man 1 who seems to have less facial injuries.

Location- The location of these characters seems to be in Moscow, the background is dark and it looks as though it is stormy weather. This adds to the tention and makes the audience wonder why they are in a forgen country. The dark colours suggests that the two are in danger.
